Answers:
1. Do you offer a payment plan and how can I buy a ball python on a payment plan?
Yes, we accept payment plans and deposits. Payment plans are interest free plans
that you make payments on either weekly or bi-weekly. You should first take a look at your existing bills and then figure out what you can comfortably pay towards your payment plan with us and also decide if you will make weekly or bi-weekly payments. Let us know the payment amount you can commit to and we'll then let you know if your payment amount works for us or not. We like to keep payment plans as short as possible but we're willing to work with you as long as the time period it will take to pay off your balance isn't too long. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to hold
a ball python and take it off the market. We will continue to feed and care for
your ball python at no additional cost to you while you're making payments.
However, if you agree to a payment plan and fail to make timely payments or choose
not to complete the transaction for whatever reason, your total payments to date
will automatically convert to a non-refundable credit that can be used towards
the purchase price of another ball python that is of greater value than the
amount of your original purchase. You will receive a credit less 25% of the purchase
price as a penalty for our holding costs, lost sales opportunities and expenses
incurred while maintaining your animal(s). If your account goes into default or
you choose not to complete the transaction, you will lose the privilege of purchasing
future ball pythons on a payment plan. If a payment is late by more than three
(3) business days and this happens three (3) times in total, you will have to
purchase the ball python in full within ten (10) business days. If you're unable
to purchase the ball python within the ten (10) day period, the ball python will
be placed back on the market for sale and your payments to date will be available
to you as a credit that you can use to purchase a ball python outright. If a payment plan payment is late by five (5) business days, you will incur a late fee of $20 for each late payment. As stated
above, you will lose the privilege of purchasing ball pythons from us on a payment
plan if you should default on your agreed upon payment plan. All deposits in any form are considered non-refundable unless we're unable to complete our end of the transaction. back

2. Can I finance a ball python and make
monthly payments on it while having it in my possession?
Yes, we can take
on the role of a bank and personally finance the purchase of a ball python from
our breeding facility. You will have the ball python in your care and make monthly
payments on your secured loan to us. Your credit score and status as a homeowner
will be a crucial determining factor to whether your loan application will be
approved or declined by us. You must be 18 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen
in order to take advantage of our financing program. Not every ball python that
we have for sell is available for financing so contact
us to see if the particular ball python you're interested in is available
for financing. Financing is usually reserved for purchases totaling $10,000.00 or more. Payment plans are available for smaller purchases requiring payment in installments over time. back to top
3.
I don't live in the USA but I want to purchase a ball python from you. Is this
possible and can you export ball pythons to my country?
Yes, we are fully
licensed and permitted by the United States of America to conduct the business
of importing and exporting wildlife. Shipping fees can cost upwards of $1,00.00, which
includes the CITES application and permit, veterinarian health checkup and health certificates, US government agency wildlife inspections, etc. CITES permits can
take upwards of sixty (60) days or longer to be processed and approved depending on how far behind
they are with other applications. Payment in full via bank wire or a 50% deposit
of the purchase price is required for International orders. You will have to check
with your local wildlife governmental agency to find out what paperwork you'll need to receive and import ball python's from us into your country. We require your minimum purchase price (not including shipping) to be at least $1,000.00 due to the the paperwork filings, telephone calls, scheduled appointments and meetings with various wildlife officials and veteriarians, extended transportation on our part to and from the airlines, etc. that's required for International shipments. back to top
4. How do you ship ball pythons within the USA?
We use a well known overnight delivery service company that guarantees delivery
by 10:30 AM (delivery time may vary depending on where you live and can be by 12:00 noon or by end of day) to your front door or place of employment. In addtion to this, we
can also ship "same day delivery" through United Airlines to your nearest
airport. Your ball python will be properly packaged and secured in Styrofoam lined
boxes. We will include a 40 hour heat pack that will emit heat and keep your ball
python warm during transit if the weather is colder than usual. back

5. Why should I buy a ball python
from you opposed to buying one from a local pet store?
Have you taken
a very close look at the ball python you're considering from your local retail
chain or pet shop? Many of those animals are not taken care of properly because
they have so many animals and products to manage and we're not including all the
customer interruptions that keep them from properly caring for their animals.
Most of their ball pythons are wild caught imported animals that may by infested
with ticks, mites and other deadly parasites. If they appear clean on the outside,
they may still have parasites destroying and eating away at them on the inside.
Their cages, humidity, water bowls and substrate are usually extremely poor and
dirty. In fact, we just had a recent customer purchase a ball python from us because
her ball python died only a few days after purchasing it from a pet store due
to a serious case of blister disease. Blister disease is the result of a snake
being kept in poor unsanitary conditions (dirty cage, lowered or no heating, allowed
to crawl around in its own urine and feces, etc). We invite you to read Ron Crawford's
blog entitled The
Truth Behind Pet Store Ball Pythons before you consider purchasing a ball
python from anyone other than RCReptiles.com. You will never find those types
of horrific conditions at our ball python facility. Our ball python's are as close
to perfect as you can get and they're maintained at the highest level of standards
in our private state of the art facility. We breed, produce and hatch our own
baby ball pythons straight out of their eggs so we know everything about them
including what they eat and how frequently they eat, their temperaments, their
complete family lineage of who their parents are, their grand parents are and
in most cases, who their great and great-great grand parents are! You can't expect
this level of quality from a pet store but you can expect this level of quality
and commitment of excellence from RCReptiles.com where 100% customer satisfaction
is guaranteed. back to top
6.
Why are ball python morphs so expensive and are they really good to invest money
in?
Ball Python morphs are priced by the market based on their beauty,
rarity and popularity as an exceptional animal and pet. Ball Pythons tend to lay
small clutches that average four eggs per clutch unlike other snakes that can
lay many times that amount. Let's say you invest $5,000.00 in your favorite male
co-dominant or dominant morph and you breed him to five females. Each female will
deliver four eggs yielding twenty eggs in total. If half of these babies are priced
at $5,000.00 a piece, your return on investment would be $50,000.00!!! Can you
think of a better legal investment where you can spend $5,000.00 for example
and stand to make $50,000.00 in perhaps a year or two later? There are many people
investing in ball pythons and receiving a very handsome return on their investment.

What does heterozygous, homozygous, recessive, co-dominant and dominant mean?
Heterozygous, homozygous, recessive, co-dominant and dominant are terms used to
describe genetics or traits. You will hear and see these terms quite frequently
when discussing ball python morphs. Let's take an Albino ball python for example.
It is a homozygous ball python because it received the Albino gene from both its
mother and father. A het (heterozygous) Albino will contain one and only one Albino
gene from either the father or mother. Since it received only one Albino gene,
it will not look Albino but it will contain a gene for the Albino trait. It will
look like an ordinary normal ball python. This is what is considered a recessive
trait because you cannot visually look at a ball python to determine if it's het
for a particular morph. On the other hand, the co-dominate and dominate morphs
are different than recessive morphs because you can visually look at the offspring
from a parent and determine which ball python's carry the sought after gene. Some
ball pythons that come to mind are Mojave's, Cinnamon Pastels and Pastels just
to name a few. They're called co-dominate because when they're bred together they
will produce a super version or morph. Dominates on the other hand will
also be visually distinguishable in a clutch but there is no way to visibly distinguish
the super version of the morph when breeding these types of ball python's
together. PH (Possible Het), 25%, 50%, 66% and 100% het are used to show the probability
of a normal looking ball python containing the gene for a particular morph. back

8. Are you open to any trades?
Yes, we are always interested in trading ball pythons for ball pythons. Since
we concentrate exclusively with ball pythons, we're not able to trade with you
unless your trade consists of a visual ball python moph. We never ship
first in trades. We will also entertain other trades that you may own such as
real-estate, vehicles, precious metals, notes, etc. The worse we can say is that
we're really not interested in your trade offer. back to top
9. I hatched out some ball pythons myself,
would you be interested in buying any of them?
Yes, we purchase ball
pythons and would be very interested to know what you have for sale. We can buy
your entire clutch or individual ball python's if you'd like. Contact
us and let us know what you have for sale. Please include photo's, hatch dates,
pictures of the mother and father, the food items you're feeding the hatchlings
and your feeding schedule. Any additional information about the ball python's
would be very helpful to us as well (scars, temperment, good or bad feeder, etc).

10. I didn't
purchase my ball python from you but I'd like to know if I can email or phone
you with questions like: Is my ball python sick? How can I tell if my ball python
is a male or female? What are these bugs on my ball python? And other husbandry
related types of questions...
We have an on-line library that's jam packed
with just about everything you'd like to know about ball pythons. You can follow
the link to Ball
Python Articles & Reports for helpful articles, care sheets and reports
about ball pythons in the library. There's also a very good selection of ball
python and snake related books
and video recommendations on our site as well. You can also post your questions
in the ball python section of the public reptile
forum here at RCReptiles.com. Please don't email, phone or instant message
us with questions like, "Why is my ball python behaving this way" or
"What are these marks on my ball python", etc. We'd rather have you
post your questions to the public forum because your question can be answered
there and other people with similar problems or concerns can also read the replies
and participate themselves. It's just a better and more productive way of sharing
questions and answers. back to top
11.
Do you offer any guarantees or paperwork on the ball pythons you sell?
Yes, we are so confident in the quality and health of our ball pythons that we
offer an unheard of and unmatched "30-day health guarantee!"
in addition to a signed photo certificate of authenticity for the ball python
and a complimentary ball python care sheet. If a ball python that you've purchased
from us should die due to natural health related causes, we will replace the ball
python at no additional cost to you! If we don't have a comparable ball
python available, we will credit you 100% for the purchase price of the ball python
that you can use towards another ball python we have available. This guarantee
however is null and void if the result of death was due to negligence,
improper handling, and poor husbandry related practices, failure to properly care
for the ball python while in your care, etc. We will have a necropsy performed
on the deceased ball python by a licensed exotic reptile Veterinarian to determine
the underlying cause of death. Our guarantee will only apply if the cause of death
was natural and not a direct result of something that happened to the ball
python while it was in your care. back to top
12. I want to purchase a ball python from you but I don't see a way to pay for the ball python on your website. How do I purchase or pay you for a ball python?
We don't have "buy it now" or "order now" options available on our website because ball pythons are living, breathing animals and are not some non-perishable commodity type item like an iPod or computer that you can purchase directly from a website. You need to phone or email us to first inquire if the animal that you're interested in is still available in addition to any questions that you might have about the animal. Include your city and zip code when emailing us so we can find out what the overnight or airport-to-airport shipping costs are. Once we've found out what the shipping costs are, we'll email (or phone if you desire) you the shipping costs. If you decide to purchase the ball python, we will then send you an invoice via email that you can pay securely using a debit or credit card. You can also pay with a USPS money order, cashiers or personal check but you have to send it with delivery confirmation and email the confirmation number to us in order for us to take the animal off the market for you. back to top
13. How much does it cost to ship a ball python to me and do you guarantee live arrival?
Overnight or same day airport-to-airport shipping varies on where you're located within the United States (or abroad). Send us an email with your city and zip code (or country and nearest airport if abroad) and we'll find out what the shipping costs are and will reply with the shipping information. Please include the ID# of the animal you're interested in purchasing as well. Clicking the "Request Information" link next to the ball python you're interested in purchasing will include all the necessary information about the ball python by default. We guarantee live arrival as long as you or someone you delegate is present to sign for your package on the very first delivery attempt made by the courier. If the package is left on your porch, door step, front door, etc., and was not accepted and signed for by you or another party directly on the very first delivery attempt, we cannot and will not guarantee live arrival. Your tracking information will be emailed to you one day prior to shipping and we will have previously setup a shipping date with you prior to shipping so you'll know exactly when and by what time you can expect your package. To reiterate, if you or your delegated party does not sign for and accept your page during the very first delivery attempt, we cannot and will not accept any liability nor be held liable whatsoever in any way, shape or form. back to top
14. Can I make a deposit on a ball python that's not yet available for sale on your page?
Yes, you can make a deposit for a ball python that's not yet available for sale on our page. Many of our customers pre-purchase outright or make deposits on ball pythons that are still in their eggs waiting to hatch or ones that have hatched but have yet to begin feeding. We have very long waiting lists for some ball python morphs and will accept deposits for a particular ball python as long as the waiting list isn't full. We require a 25% deposit of the purchase price. All deposits in any form are considered non-refundable unless we're unable to complete our end of the transaction. back to top
